How To Check Aadhaar Card Status

By Jitendra Indave On Monday, January 23, 2012
The status of your Aadhaar card can be checked online using the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) website. Here are the steps to check your Aadhaar card status:

  1. Visit the UIDAI official website: https://uidai.gov.in/
  2. Click on the “Check Aadhaar Status” link under the “Aadhaar Services” section.
  3. Enter your 28-digit enrolment ID, date and time of enrolment, and security code.
  4. Click on the “Get Status” button to check the status of your Aadhaar card.
If your Aadhaar card has been generated, the UIDAI website will display the message “Your Aadhaar has been generated” along with the 14-digit Aadhaar number. If your Aadhaar card is still in process, the UIDAI website will display the message “Your Aadhaar is under process”.

It is important to note that it may take up to 90 days for the Aadhaar card to be generated after enrolment. If your Aadhaar card is still under process after 90 days, you can contact the UIDAI Call Centre for assistance.

By checking the status of your Aadhaar card online, you can track the progress of your application and ensure that your Aadhaar card is generated in a timely manner.
