BSNL Joined In The Race of Low Cost Tablet In Indian Market

By Jitendra Indave On Saturday, February 25, 2012
Just few month ago Reliance Communication was the only first telecom company to launch tablet. Reliance entered in the race with it's Rel 3G Tab with price tag of 12999. It was on android based , manufactured by ZTE. It was a kind of combo offer, cause along with it there was discounted data plans too. Now the same game is being played by Indian Telecom Giant BSNL for its new gadget Panta Tablets . BSNL is going to provide discounted data plans along with these tablets. It offers 5GB 3G data usage for INR 750, and 7.5 GB 2G usage for INR 250 with these newly launched tablets. They had to provide, cause already Manufacturer of Akash (Ubislate) declared that they are going to give service of GPRS at 99 Rs. per month only. It is fact if tablet makers want to stand for long in market they have to give such packages not only tablet makers but also telecom companies. It's IT world changes rapidly. What is new today yesterday it will be old.Now what next ?? perhaps other telecom companies like Airtel, Vodafone and other will start to re-think to re-join in this race with more better options(specially for low cost). Here, price does matter.Though Airtel and Reliance has already launched their own tablets but till now no more big success they got due higher price.By the move of BSNL about tablet there may be impact on demand of Akash-II (Ubislate 7+). The main reason to become popular Datawind's table, is picked up by BSNL wisely. And implementing the same. Let's see, where the race ends.
