Yahoo-Go-Android
Those were the fortunate days of Yahoo when there was user base in large number. Yahoo Messenger and Yahoo Mail were speeded through the internet. Once upon Yahoo was the alternative name for the internet world. But this fortunate was not long for company. So many up and downs company have seen. Today the company is part of Verizon USA. I am not saying that company is not in focus. Yes, the company, Yahoo, is still in focus. Just recently they revamped their mail app for Android Go devices. It contains almost the same features as those available in the recent app, but with some improvements in term of performance. As the improvement, they brought RAM usage below 50 MB and the size of the installation below 10 MB. The Yahoo Mail Go is the lite weight version. It is built on the same platform architecture.

The app includes the feature like “swipe through inbox”. If you swipe to left, it asks to delete. If you swipe to right it asks to mark as read. It also supports third-party mail like Google, Outlook and AOL. The very first option in the left top corner near inbox (where setting found) is “+ Add another mailbox”. This appears very handy now. No need to maintain multiple apps for above mail providers. The user can find here integrated multiple mailbox. In the Yahoo Mail Go user can customize notification, means the user gets notified only when he receives a new email from a person, not companies or newsletters. There is connectivity for google drive and Dropbox. The adfree Yahoo Mail Pro version is available at $0.99/month or $9.99/year.       The mobile web version gets the same type of sidebar with folders to organize email type as available in the app.  It’s really going to be the good experience with this responsive app. There are lots of low-end devices in the market for those this is the good move from the Yahoo. The app is optimized to run on Android Oreo (Go edition) devices with 1 GB of RAM or less.
